We will try to be the first group at Masada, taking a cable car to near the summit. This fortress was built by Herod as a summer palace, and Josephus details the rebels' last stand here after the destruction of Jerusalem. Finishing there, we will travel north and then west toward Jerusalem. Along the way we'll stop for lunch and a camel-riding opportunity. Upon arriving in Jerusalem, the crown of our journey, our first stop will be at the Israel Museum to study the Model City as it was in the time of Jesus. The next experience is an exciting trip to the Jewish Market, where we will purchase food for our picnic tomorrow. We will spend our last three nights at Jerusalem's Leonardo Plaza.
